About the Author Robert E. Bauman, JD, is a member of the District of Columbia bar and a former state senator and member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Maryland. He is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and the GU Law Center. He serves as legal counsel to The Sovereign Society and is editor of its daily e-letter, The Sovereign Society Offshore A-Letter.
