Synopsis

This book is written with parents and teachers in mind. The story identifies the importance for young people to keep the fourth commandment. Honor thy father and thy mother. The structure of the story helps the young reader to understand that God gave us this commandment for our protection. In the story Danny has just learned the Fourth Commandment. “Honor thy Father and thy Mother.” He is optimistic that he can keep it but his Papa is not so sure. When Danny gets a new job his resolve will be sorely tested. As Danny faces the challenge of temptation the reader will understand how easy it is to break the commandments and disappoint the people who love them. The moral of the story is quickly understood and should initiate reflection on the part of the young Christian.

About the Author

Christabel N Pankhurst, was born in County Antrim Northern Ireland. Her maternal great grandmother is Maura Sayers sister to the famous Peig. Although a Catholic child in the 1950's she was educated at a Protestant school and so learned tolerance at a very young age. With a keen interest in Religion she became an RE teacher and her books reflect this interest. Christabel is married with three children and owns a talking cat called Pushkeen! Christabel does most of her writing in her home in Dún Chaoin, Co Kerry.
