About the Author
Born in Rochdale 1935. Attended Rochdale Grammar School. Entered the RAF serving his National Service in Egypt. 1974 marked the beginning of his interest in antique and vintage fishing tackle. Collecting became his passion and by the latter part of the century had assembled the finest collection of reels covering all British makers.Several years of intensive research led to the publication, in 1989, of Fishing Tackle: A Collectors Guide. It immediately became the definitive guide for collectors in over 30 countries and has continued as such, for a period of 20 years
