About the Author

Kofi Anyidoho has received numerous awards for his poetry including the Langston Hughes Prize, the BBC Arts and Africa Poetry Award, the Valco Fund Literary Award, and the Fania Kruger Fellowship for Poetry of Social Vision and he was named Ghana s Poet of the Year in 1984. Among his collections are Elegy for the Revolution, Ancestral Logic and Caribbean Blues, and Praise Song for the Land. He is professor of literature at the University of Ghana, Legon.
