Loic le Ribault became interested in sand while attending university in Paris. He developed the science of exoscopy and became Europe's leading specialist in the properties of silica including a tenure as a forensic pathologist for the French National Police. (La Surete' Nacionale) Loic partnered with another silica research pioneer, Dr. Norbert Duffault, in the 1970s to investigate the health providing applications of silica. These led to the discovery that silica is critical in treating conditions of the skin and bone which only now in the 2010 era do we realize is critical. Loic was able to synthesize an organic silica to treat arthritis, skin damage and weak calcium absorption. The revolutionary aspects of this discovery twice led to Loic being imprisoned by the French authorities as professional jealousies and political pressure was levied against him to forestall the benefits organic silica would place on existing pharmaceutical companies. About the Author

Martin Walker has been an activist campaigner, a political poster artist and a writer mainly in London, England, for most of his adult life. His twelve books and large number of posters reflect his involvement in campaigns since the early seventies. Before 1993, he was mainly involved in campaigns over wrongful arrest and imprisonment but in 1990 he began investigating pharmaceutical funded corporate lobby groups which since the mid 1980s have been working to end freedom of choice in medical treatments. For five years between 2005 and 2010 he worked with the parents of children damaged by the MMR vaccine who supported Dr Andrew Wakefield in his trumped-up three year trial before the UK General Medical Council. He is personally interested in dissent in science and the matter of how people leave orthodoxy to enter the world of alternatives especially in health. For five years in the 1990s he was an advisor to the BBC Judge John Deed drama series written and produced by Gordon Newman. His book Dirty Medicine: Science Big Business and the assault on natural health care, is considered ground-breaking by many who have followed the growth and development of the pro-pharmaceutical anti-alternative health lobbies. His latest book Dirty Medicine: The Handbook was published in May 2011. Information about all his books and essays can be found on his site at slingshotpublications.
