Amelia Chloe Emmansard, the world’s top female tennis player and darling of the Australian public, has already earned $80 million from the game, and she’s not yet twenty. Despite her success, her earnings seem increasingly hollow and she desperately wants to use her wealth to make a difference to the world. Doing that is not as easy as it sounds, even for a woman of Amelia’s determination and intelligence. Will Amelia and her dreams survive the Third World’s politics and greed? The sheer difficulty of her desires, coupled with the challenges of the tennis circuit will test her resolve and skills more than she can possibly imagine. Add to this Amelia’s fledgling long-distance relationship, and surely something has to be sacrificed. But what will it be? ‘...captures the life of a tennis super star beautifully and accurately...a book of love, devotion, sacrifice and sheer determination...superb in its action and touching with its scope. Two thumbs up.’ Robert N Stephenson,Altair Magazine ‘Klapish has a knack for intelligent, descriptive writing – never over the top and thus consistently enjoyable throughout the 350-page read.’ Wendy O’Hanlon,Australian Provincial Newspapers ‘Packed with action both on court and off, Chasing Margaret is not only an unstoppable read, but an inspiration for those who dare to dream.’ Zoe Sterling,The Southern Peninsula Local ‘...provides fine insight into the world of championship tennis. It has obviously been well researched and provides an entertaining read.’ John Morrow’s Pick of the Week
