The memoir of a Jewish Holocaust survivor who grew up in a middle-class Jewish family in Dresden during the rise of the Third Reich. In a very personal child's eye account of anti-Semitism, persecution, eracination, escape and resettlement in the United States, the author has written a compelling and poignant tale.
