Pat Smith (1937-2009) was a Hinsdale, Illinois native who lived most of her life in Springfield, Illinois, and St. Louis, Missouri. Her professional writing career was as an advocate for children's rights with the State of Illinois. Her poetry is a creative expression of her embrace of all life's joys, sorrows, and loves.
