The black and white photographs are very nice and a great help when you are trying to do the exercises. Singh explains, briefly, the history of Kundalini, and there are appendices in the back which feature many different types of mantras and meditations, plus information on the chakras. There is an introductory warm-up set that is to precede each day's workout, and then for each day of the week there is a set of exercises which correspond to the energies of that particular day; for example, Monday, ruled by the Moon, features exercises which balance the emotions. Each exercise is followed by a short description of what it will do for you.
