The assembly of the last of the pre-war frames began in 1947 and continued until early 1961. Assembled by master craftsman, many of these fine revolvers were presented to public officials and Colt personnel.
Topics include presentations, sales, engraved revolvers, consecutive sets and foreign sales. Covered in detail are the characteristics unique to this revolver and complete production information.
This study is written from both a historian's and collector's viewpoint. A wealth of photographs and detailed information is presented to aid in the collecting of Colt's Pre-War/Post-War Single Action Army revolver.
