Synopsis
Civil War History: Only book ever written of the Confederate Military Departmant of Southwest Virginia. Over 50 battles and skirmishs fought throughout the area, which included most of West Virginia. The South's only source of lead and last remaining source of salt was target number two during the latter part of the war.

About the Author
Born in Wytheville, Va. in 1946. Despite Dyslexia he graduted from V. P. I. in 1968. Married father of two sons. Only auther in the state of Virginia that makes his entire income writing Civil War history. He has recieved any awards and certificates; Example: Who's Who in America, and recognited by House of Representives of South Carolina for work. Member many orgainations; Example: Civil War Round Table, Sons of Confederate Veterans, many historical societies.

Excellent even color. wrinkle on front jacket flap. Jacket now covered with a mylar sleeve. Book has the number # 226 at the top of the front free endpaper, which appears to be in the same ink as the authors inscription which reads: "Hope you enjoy. Gary Walker". No other marking in book.
