Publisher's polished one-quarter calf leather, lettered in gold-foil on the spine, over forest-green cloth lettered in embossed gold foil stamping on the front cover, French marbled endpapers, in forest green cloth-covered slipcase trimmed in leather, 4to (26 x 21 cm, 10 1/4 x 8 1/4 inches). Archives of Falconry, Volume V. This is the Deluxe Patron's edition, limited to 200 numbered copies, this being P-109. The Patron's edition was issued to subscribers only and was 'out of print' at the time of publication of the work. The survey begins with some speculations of pre-Columbian falconry and then describes and illustrates the history of the sport in the New World from Columbus' initial voyages to the end of the twentieth century. No ownership marks and no signs of use.
