Diane Morgan, Dan Taggart, Kathleen Taggart, and Georgia Vareldzis were all instructors at Portland, Oregon's Kitchen Kaboodle Cooking School in the 1980s. Their writing career began with the IACP/Seagrams award-winning Entertaining People in 1987. Very Entertaining is a sequel to that well-respected book with completely new menus, keeping the same high standard of photography and graphic design.
Very Entertaining is one of the books that tantalize as well as teach, that use readily availalbe ingredients, that take sensible shortcuts off the road of purism yet still manage to reflect culinary integrity and good taste . . . . Even when recipes are from exotic places the execution is straightforward. -- William Rice, Chicago Tribune
The recipe directions are clearly written and easy to follow. The background information is written with a sense of warmth and enthusiasm that makes me want to go into the kitchen and try everything. -- Hugh Carpenter, author Pacific Flavors, Chopstix, and other books
What a happy book! . . . more great recipes, more stunning pictures and more terrific tips for entertaining with friends! -- Barbara Tropp, author The Modern Art of Chinese Cooking, and China Moon Cookbook
