About the Author

Eileen McDargh is founder and CEO (Chief Energy Officer) of the consulting firm, The Resiliency Group (a division of McDargh Communications) and is a master facilitator, moderator and emcee. Organizations like Cisco, Novartis, Oracle, and Procter & Gamble hire her firm to teach them ways of building resilient leadership teams and workplaces. Her programs are high content, high energy, interactive, and often hilarious.

Leadership Excellence magazine, which ranked top thought leaders in management and leadership, continually named Eileen to its top 50 Leadership list. Along with her work as an organizational resiliency consultant, Eileen speaks and writes about resiliency in business, in life, and in relationships.

As a platform speaker, she has given thousands of keynotes for organizations and associations in dozens of fields, including aerospace, education, finance, healthcare, hospitality, pharmaceuticals, public agencies, real estate, technology, utilities, and women's leadership.  She has become noted for her ability to speak the truth with clarity, wisdom, humor and compassion.

Eileen authored Work for a Living & Still Be Free to Live, the first book on work/life balance--a topic that placed her as a futurist in this issue and is now in a Kindle edition. Her second book, The Resilient Spirit, is found from South Africa to California. Talk Ain't Cheap... It's Priceless - Connecting in a Disconnected World serves as a leadership guide for numerous organizations. Gifts from the Mountain: Simple Truths for Life's Complexities, won the Benjamin Franklin Gold Award.  My Get Up & Go Got Up & Went was written to help everyone who is stretched too thin by competing demands. The 40 Tips For Speaking Up, Speaking Out, And Being Heard tip booklet was written by Eileen and Dr. Eunice Parisi-Carew for women in the workplace.  Her newest book Your Resiliency GPS was created to help people revive and renew the spark of hope and optimism as they cultivate resiliency skills.

Review

"I really loved this book. It is chock full of powerful tools, questions, and suggestions on how to grow through just about anything that life throws at you. The Resiliency GPS is brilliant. Who doesn't need a GPS to navigate life's challenges more easily? You'll never feel lost. The best part is that you arrive at your "destination" in a better place than you had imagined. Thank you so much for guiding us Eileen."

"I randomly opened the book at a number of pages. Each time, I smiled and felt both lighter and stronger at the same time. The quotes, stories and easy to implement action steps in Your Resiliency GPS actually rewired my brain to embrace change.  This book isn't momentary motivation; the pages provide longlasting hope and joy."
