Today, Phyllis manages a consulting practice focusing on organizational and human effectiveness. Over the past 15 years, she has worked with a variety of industries including publishing, financial services, insurance, and pharmaceuticals to develop and implement programs that address process redesign and innovation, team development, interpersonal communications, and leadership. As a course developer and writer, she has written custom training materials, surveys, and video scripts; as a process facilitator, she has helped organizations orchestrate, redesign, and implement major change initiatives. Widely regarded for her group facilitation skills, Phyllis is often called upon to facilitate strategic alignment sessions to help executive groups articulate their direction and plans.
In addition to her corporate work, Phyllis has 10 years of experience in academia, holding positions as Management Center Director and Instructor of Business Communications at the University of Maryland and the position of Associate Dean at Shepherd College.
Phyllis earned her undergraduate degree from Fairmont College, a Master’s degree from West Virginia University and a Doctorate from The George Washington University.
