About the Author

The life story of Dr. Reshad Feild reads like a modern-day Odyssey propelled by the single question, "What is the purpose of Life on Earth?"

Reshad left the aristocratic roots of his native England at an early age having had a mystical experience he describes as "like having a window opened."

His mystical yearning took him around the world to Zen monasteries in Japan, the Himalayas in Nepal and to the Sufi mystics and the Whirling Dervishes in Turkey. He also studied with the Gurdjieff and Ouspensky schools and the ancient Druids in England.

His life has led him in other directions as well. He has been an antiques dealer, a stockbroker, and a naval officer. In the early sixties Reshad sang with the British pop group, the Springfields. Throughout the years, Reshad Feild has run several esoteric schools in England, Canada, the U.S. and Switzerland to help people embarking on the path of transformation.

Many of these experiences are described in his books which include-- The Last Barrier, The Invisible Way, Here to Heal, A Travelling People's Feild Guide, Footprints in the Sand, Breathing Alive, The Alchemy of the Heart, Reason is Powerless in the Expression of Love, Going Home - The Journey of a Travelling Man

"The natural heritage of the soul is pure freedom. But what is freedom? People think that freedom is getting away from something, or getting into something else. Freedom is not these things. We will know that we are free the moment we surrender totally to allow the flow of life itself."
