Synopsis
Foreword : The chief reason for my undertaking the publication of the Button Hand book was my own great need in the earlier period of my button collecting of a text of the kind I am presenting. I hope it may be of the same service to others that it would have been to me. That the book is made up largely of pictues has been intentional as I believe in the old Chinese saying that " One picture is worth ten thousand words. " Nevertheless, I have tried to add to the informative value of the book by giving descirptions of the essentials os far as space permits.
