About the Author

Marcelo Beccaceci is a wildlife veterinarian in Argentina and naturalist guide. In addition to being a photographer and leading naturalist expeditions in Patagonia's wilderness areas, he conducts research on endangered species in Argentina's Ibera; Natural Reserve, one of the largest wetlands in the world. Beccaceci is an active participant with the World Conservation Union. He has authored numerous scholarly articles in the field and is recognized as one of Argentina's foremost naturalist photographers and conservationists. He is an advisor on ecotourism to the travel industry in Argentina and has published books on the country's national parks and wildlife.
