About the Author
J. H. Segars is the author and editor of a number of Civil War books to include LIFE IN DIXIE DURING THE WAR (Mercer University Press); THE BELL IRVIN WILEY READER (LSU Press); and ANDERSONVILLE; THE SOUTHERN PERSPECTIVE (Pelican Publishing Co.) He received an M.Ed. from the University of Georgia and lives in Madison, GA.
