Edward J. O'Keefe, Ph.D., is a professor of psychology at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Dr. O'Keefe has been teaching college students for over thirty-five years and self-management courses since 1970. A consultant to major corporations, social service agencies, and educators, he has conducted over four hundred workshops on motivation, stress, assertiveness, self-esteem, and the ABC approach to self-management. Dr. O'Keefe also maintains a private practice as a licensed clinical psychologist.
Donna S. Berger, M.A., heads the Office of Academic Grants at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. She has conducted professional development seminars for faculty interested in teaching the ABC approach to self-management. She also has taught self-management and writing courses to college students. Ms. Berger is the author of several articles and a frequent presenter on the concepts contained in this book. She holds M.A. degrees in both English literature and educational psychology.
