The school market is often overlooked by performing artists. Developing a program for school audiences provides an artist with a whole new market for generating income, greatly increases the opportunity for profitable touring, and for many, leads to the most meaningful performances they'll ever present.
About the Author
Touring extensively with The Dave & Cindy Duo, author David Heflick has performed over 1000 school assembly programs since 1984. His duo's arts-in-education programs have been sponsored by five major arts commissions in the Pacific Coast region as well as Young Audiences, Inc. Heflick's performing experience, a degree in Music Education, and years of classroom experience form the foundation upon which "How to Make Money Performing in Schools" is based.
