About the Author:

Tony Russ is a 45-year native Alaskan who was hooked on sheep hunting after taking his first Dall ram in 1978. Since then he has taken several with a rifle, one with a pistol, and five with a bow--including the current World Record Pope & Young Dall sheep. The author also works as a guide, spending up to six weeks each fall hunting sheep. He also spends many additional weeks each year exploring sheep country and photographing sheep. His fascination with sheep is equaled by his knowledge of their habits.
