About the Author

Ron Levin, third son of a Russian-Jewish immigrant, was eight when his family left Philadelphia and came south to eastern North Carolina. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UNC, he subsequently earned his MA from the Writers Workshop at the University of Iowa. In the years that followed he has worked as a jazz musician, night club entertainer, college professor and marketing strategist. Much later, as the result of a life-changing experience, Levin attended Candler School of Theology at Emory University and now divides his time between prison ministry, teaching and writing. The author's first book, The Long Journey Home, was published to enthusiastic reviews and is now in its third priting. His first novel, Devil's Gut, has also won high praise of both reviewers and readers alike.
