The first part of the book discusses visual design and includes dozens of full-color examples for creating presentations with less clutter and more impact. The second part of the book covers delivery skills, including body language, gestures and interaction. You can create a powerful visual impression, not from using images with special effects, but from images which especially affect your audience in some positive way! You will learn how to correctly develop a goal for your presentation, how to hold and build the attention span of your audience through the effective use of eye movement, and how to affect the emotions of the audience by using color. In addition, you'll learn ways to enhance your presentation delivery style using proper gestures, body movement and vocal techniques. All in all, you will understand how to create clear, concise and more powerful presentations and recognize ways to deliver those events more effectively.

About the Author
Tom Mucciolo, president of MediaNet, is a recognized industry expert in visual communications, business presentations and leadership skills. He has served as a skills consultant for major corporations since 1985, concentrating on the script, visuals, and delivery associated with presentations, especially electronic events. High-profile communicators, including corporate leaders, politicians, educators, physicians, lawyers, sales teams, media personalities, as well as those at any organizational level, demand his coaching expertise to enhance executive presence, improve leadership effectiveness and develop high-quality communication skills. Tom is part of the faculty of New York University (NYU) where he conducts lectures and coaches key faculty and administrators toward becoming more effective communicators. At NYU, he is presently part of a team involved in a research project on measuring Teaching Effectiveness and is co-authoring a new book on the topic. The "Electrifying Presentations" seminars, seen throughout the United States and around the world, feature Tom as the keynote speaker and have been sponsored by industry leaders and organizations such as IBM, Microsoft, Motorola, In Focus Systems, Toshiba and the IABC (International Association of Business Communicators). Tom is chiefly responsible for the development of ShowSTARTER, an artificial intelligence program for designing business visuals. He has contributed his expertise to several business publications through many articles and interviews and he is co-author of five books Purpose, Movement, Color (MediaNet, Inc.), Special Edition Using Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 (Macmillan/MediaNet), Special Edition Using Microsoft PowerPoint 2002 (Pearson/MediaNet), Special Edition Using Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 (Pearson/MediaNet) and Special Edition Using Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 (Pearson/MediaNet). He is also the featured presenter on MediaNet's published CD-ROMs "Mechanics - Basic Skills" and "Media-Design Skills", two modules in the Electrifying Presentations Library Series???, offering interactive delivery & design training.
