This book is a visual tribute to the American mustang, one of our country's few remaining native horse species. Once almost extinct, mustangs have fared better since 1971, when federal legislation set up programs for the protection of the species and its habitat. The horse originated in the Americas and the mustang is one of the few surviving species: this excellent title celebrates the mustang, displaying gorgeous color photos of the horse in the wild.
