About the Author
Dr. J. Fraden is a prolific inventor - he holds patents for medical electronic instruments, electrical appliances, security de-vices, and even toys. These inventions resulted in multi-million dol-lar businesses employing thousands of people in several countries. His greatest success has been with the Thermoscan Instant Thermometer which meas-ures temperature from the ear of a patient in just one second.
He published over 60 scientific papers and book chapters. His Handbook of Modern Sensors (American Institute of Physics) is on the top of the best-sellers list among the books on physics.
The inventor, scientist, businessman, writer, and artist in America - in Russia, he had directed movies, worked as a TV correspondent, designed electronic music instruments, and even conducted the ESP experiments. His escape from the Soviet Union allowed him to provide CIA with valuable information.
