About the Author
Reg T. Miller was born in 1942 with an ancestral background that includes, French, British and German. A conservative upbringing taught hard work and lots of study. This was easy for Reg whose fascination with machines led him to dismantle old clocks, motors, radios and televisions to understand who they worked. As a teen, a correspondence course taught him the fundamentals of electronics and by sixteen he had a First Class Radio Telephone license. One of his old televisions was soon transformed into a working radio transmitter and, suddenly, a small rural town in Michigan had another AM station with "top forty" music and no commercials! Soon after, he won first prize at a science fair in Bay County.
In college he majored in physics and minored in mathematics. During college he did fit-and-function studies for a company that did huge dome tents for the military. He went on to work for the Department of Defense collecting radio active samples from A-bomb testing in the atmosphere and later, worked as an engineer for Rohr- a major sub-contractor for Boeing.
