About the Author

The Righteous Mother has spent many years helping Black women deal with their relationships. Working first as a medium, then later as a personal advisor, she has used her wisdom, psychic skills and vast insight to help women find solutions to problems both big and small. At the urgings of her clients, she decided to write her first book, Get on Top! Now, enjoying tremendous success with Get on Top!, she is currently working on her second book, a guide for Black men entitled: Sex Her Right! scheduled for release in July of 1999.

It was written by Black women, for Black women, about the issues Black women face. This book is not for the squeamish! It is raw and it is truthful. It is a work that is considered by many to e long overdue. Others fear its powerful message, yet find themselves draawn to it just the same. It is here for your own personal benefit and interpretation. Derive from it what you will. And may the powe of positive thinking be with you!

Some time ago, a book was written for Black men that unjustly held Black women responsible for all of Black men's problems. The book, written by a Black Muslim woman, has gone on to create further difficulties for Sisters already in hardship. The Guide for Black men says we (Black women) are to blame for everything, including a Black man's own deficiencies and it encourages Brothers to treat us in ways that are beneath us. Our men have even been advised to hit us! As I'm sure you'll agree, we Sisters have a different story to tell. Black women are not mindless animals in need of dominance, humiliation and cruelty in order to function properly, we are women in need of love, honor and respect. We are women who love our men and are desperately trying to save our families. We are women who have been stifled throughout history in every way, subjected to constant struggle and abuse. We have been forced to hold our tongues, even when we've known the true answer. Not anymore. Now, we have a voice. Through out book, Get on Top! every Black woman with courage can finally speak.
