The Minstrel Tree is about Christmas ornaments who are waiting in their boxes in the cellar for the family to come and get them and hang them on the tree. When the Minstrel, one of the ornaments, discovers that the woman of the house plans a new, chic Christmas tree, without using any of the old ornaments; he wakes all the other ornaments up and tells them they must somehow get to the tree by themselves. The story is their perilous journey through the house where, against all odds, they reach their goal. Along the way, the Minstrel rescues Lady Sandra and falls in love and the other ornaments - the Snowman, the Lion, the Camel, Madame Babushka, and many others, find out that when they all work together, anything is possible.
