Synopsis

Rage At God is intense. It is passionate. It is powerful. It is relevant to today's world. And RAGE AT GOD is a revelation to every seeker after self-healing and personal peace.

Through three riveting human stories the startling, revolutionary concept of healing through rage at God is made clear and convincing. Marda, molested by her father, abandoned by her mother, unable to trust herself or others; Christopher who found his wealth and position inadequate compensation for his emotional starvation; Didi, a dynamic designer trapped in a literally murderous rivalry with her mother.

Author Anneliese Widman, former Broadway dancer and cutting-edge Bioenergetics therapist, explains her theory of "Reflectivism" in recounting these stories with gifted perception. The notion that self-responsibility and spiritually blueprint our lives traumatic events as instructive messages from our deepest being to illuminate our path, our pain, and our purification.

Rarely has a shocking concept -- rage at God -- been made so understandably human as in Anneliese Widman's portrayal of her three patients. Widman makes us see that the impulse to blame God for our troubles is the tragic result of a failure to comprehend the very nature of our creation -- the inviolate integrity of every entity, and its subsequent self-determination.

Once this realization is reached, Widman proves rage at God turns into love for God. And, in her most inspiring revelation, we see that God's love for us has been given to us all along.

From the Publisher

A provocative, exciting journey into the intimate experiences of three people seeking deeper understanding of their troubled lives . . . and the startling new dimensions of healing reality they discover!

Through case histories, the source of the Soul's negative transference and, rage at God/Father is exposed, rectified, enlightened and, readied to step back into life.

How startling the title of this revelatory book is to us in Western culture. Yet, in orthodox Christianity, where god is an authority figure more than a divine force, how inevitable that rebellion against the way things are would be perceived as raging against God's will.

Shocked as we are by the mention of rage at God, how much more shocking the concept that this very rage can be the key to our self-redemption. That is the unique viewpoint psychotherapist Anneliese Widman illuminates through three stunning case histories in this book.

These three case histories illustrate Widman's concept of Reflectivism: the principle that our experiences with our parents purposefully reflect the male and female qualities inherent in ourselves, so that in a very literal sense, we can experience ourselves as others experience us. through facing the positive and negative qualities of our parents/ourselves, we can cease to blame others -- including God -- or our pain and separation from god. We "ascend"to forgiveness of ourselves, and to divine reunion.

An accomplished writer with a gift for expressing emotions with sensitivity and sincerity, Anneliese Widman portrays three patients from her New York practice in Bioenergetics therapy. You will feel that you know Marda, the blond Slavic beauty, an executive and would-be playwright, unwilling to break free from lifelong spiritual bondage to her embittered father; Christopher, the gifted avant-garde dancer, whose emotional distance from his brutal father and cold, manipulative mother has left him a Lothario with a string of women's broken hearts behind him; and Didi; the bright energetic designer struggling to transcend her domineering mother's pattern of contemptuously subjugating men.

Marda, Christopher and Didi all resolve their "rage at God." Each begins the ascent to reunion. And -- in Widman's inspiring, ultimate message -- so can you.
