Poetry. Holocaust Studies. Each poem in this marvelous collection is special and perfect in itself. Appearing in this almost devastatingly emotional work are a variety of people in different countries, times and tragic situations. Susan Terris' unique craft and vision illuminate and intensify the poetry until it goes far beyond the original intent and then we take over. This book must be read by everyone with a conscience, a sense of history, a need to know. Whether it is an adult who experienced the Holocaust or knew of its existence or a young person on the edge of knowing, this book is a gift and a revelation (Ruth Daigon). A very powerful collection (Robert Sward). Susan Terris lives in San Francisco. She has had 21 books of fiction published and her poetry is widely published in such magazines as Antioch Review, Calyx and Nimrod.
