This book commemorates the 100th anniversary of this historically important railroad coming to Pittsburgh, PA.
Its construction at the turn of the century created an epic adventure that would take four years to complete. Financed by the millions of rail magnate George Jay Gould, and designed and constructed by Pittsburghers, the detailed story is told here for the first time using company and personal documents, file and photos. Truly, a landmark book.
