frank h. hoff is a graduate marine biologist who has been active in the culture or fish and livefeed products since 1966. he is considered one of the original pioneers in the development of spawning and rearing techniques of tropical marine food fish including pompano, seabass and ornamental clownfish. for eight years he served as director of the aquaculture division of the florida marine research laboratory. in 1974 he founded instant ocean hatcheries, the first marine tropical fish farm located 30 miles inshore which used artificial seawater. in 1984 he founded florida aqua farms and aquaculture supply. currently he is the chief consultant to ora (ocean reefs and aquariums) which is the largest marine torpical fish farm in the world. he has over 17 professional publications, numerious popular articles and author of two books; plankton culture manual and conditioning and rearing of fish with emphasis on marine clownfish.
