("The Case of the G-rated Stripper") The language of the body can mesmerize a man when it merely hints at the idea of "taking it off." A stripping that's only suggested is 100 times more powerful than downright nudity. Let's illustrate this with the example of Heather, an expert in a striptease innocent enough to be rated G for general audiences.
Two couples were going out to dinner in D.C. one night, and they invited Paul, a charming young visitor from London, to join them. Since Paul was single and a bit of a Don Juan, they knew he'd want to be fixed up with a lively, appealing date. Someone suggested Heather, a very flirtatious divorce, and to Paul's delight she quickly accepted the invitation. When she arrived at the restaurant, however, they were amazed to see her wearing large horn-rimmed glasses and a dress with a long-sleeved jacket buttoned all the way to her neck. Was this the famous coquette they'd heard about?
They were all seated and served cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. As they chatted, Heather sat quietly and rather demurely at the far end of the table. However, several members of the group noticed that somewhere along the way her schoolmarm glasses had magically disappeared. Then, a little later her jacket, now unbuttoned, offered a glimpse of a low-cut, lacy blouse that could have passed for bedroom wear. But Heather was yet to play her trump card.
In the middle of the main course, while Paul was expounding on some aspect of European politics, Heather must have decided it was very warm, because she slowly began to peel her jacket off. At that point Paul suddenly stopped talking, his mouth fell open and everyone stared in stunned silence as Heather gracefully, sensuously removed her jacket and let it drape over the back of her chair. The gesture lasted just a few seconds but it had total impact. Heather had definitely made her point.
Want to know how to strip your jacket off like Heather? Practice this (in front of a mirror, if possible). It can also work well with a coat.
1. If the jacket has buttons or snaps, undo them s-l-o-w-l-y, top to bottom, with one hand, as gracefully as you can. Or slowly unzip. 2. Take both sides of the open jacket in your hands, fingers curled under, and start pulling them off in a backward direction, keeping your chest out. 3. With your jacket nearly off, reach in back of you and take one sleeve off, pulling it from the bottom with the other hand. Then slowly take the jacket completely off. 4. Drape it around your shoulders or over the back of the chair.
