This edition has been revised to guide not small time hobbyists but big time chemists in an industrial setting that necessitate the advanced knowledge in this book to produce unimaginable amounts of illicit substances with precision and standards of excellency . We're talking empires. I first bought this used from a strange but obviously intelligent man. Based off of the wear and tear on this copy. I would say he used it often and thought a great deal of the integrity of the chemistry offered in it as well as the immense respect the author displays for the noble subject.
