About the Author

Bob Crosby published his first article about the critical importance of balance between authority and consensus in 1970. Since then he has been consumed with the need in both life and work for a balance which transcends these presumed polarities.

He was the founder of the Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS) in 1969 and continues to teach and consult to this day through the School for Innovative Leadership Inc. and Crosby Kerr Minno Consulting Inc. He is the author of two other books, "Walking the Empowerment Tightrope: Balancing Management Authority and Employee Influence" and "Solving the Cross-Work Puzzle."
