Cleveland P. Hickman, Jr. lives in Lexington, VA where he taught animal physiology and zoology at Washington & Lee University. He has continued reseach on Galapagos marine invertebrates since 1974. He is the author of three textbooks of zoology, including Integrated Principles of Zoology, now in its 17th edition. He received his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia.
