Joe B. Rusin has over 30 years in volunteer work and understands volunteering from both worker and management perspectives. She has served with the YWCA, YMCA,American Red Cross, Girl and Boy Scouts, Golden Retriever Rescue, and the Atlanta Public Schools, where she received the Golden Apple recognizing outstanding volunteers. She rose to the rank of colonel in the U.S. Army and worked on the Army's transition from the draft to the current all volunteer force.
