About the Author:

John Rosenthal's photographs have been exhibited at the National Humanities Center, American Academy of Arts & Letters, Univ of NC at Chapel Hill, National Academy of Sciences, Duke University, the Ashville Art Museum, and many other venues throught the Southeast. He is also a wekk-known essayist whose writings about photography, time, and memory have been widely published. Since 1990, his commentaries have been aired on National Public Radio's "All Things Considered."
