About the Author:
A retrospective selection of photographs by nationally and regionally published photographer Kenneth Murray. Published in April 2008 by the Center for Appalachian Studies and Services at East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN. The images illustrate a region in transition, from the early 1960s to 2005. Earlier titles by Kenneth Murray include: Down to Earth--People of Appalachia, 1974 &1981; A Portrait of Appalachia, 1986; Appalachia--Myths, Legends, and Landscapes, 1992 & 1993; and The Tennessee Country, 1996.
