About the Author
Bill Cherry born in Galveston and raised in the 40's and 50's, a fabled time of a vibrant cosmopolitan seaport open to gambling, prostitution, and wise guys. Bill graduated from North Texas State University and for 35 years was a real-estate broker on the Island all the while he pursued his dream to be a jazz pianist and author. His weekly column in the Galveston County Daily News was the source of these stories.
