From the Publisher:
Day Mount Company's primary product is self seal coinholders, which were invented by the late founder. We offer the album as a response to the many customers who requested a way to preserve and protect their commemorative quarter collections. Much research went into the product so that collectors can display their coins in an archivally safe presentation that is accessible and easy to use, with display pages enhanced by companion printed pages that give a little history lesson about each state. We would like to thank the many people who have bought the album and hope that you continue to enjoy collecting the Fifty State Commemorative Quarters.
About the Author:
Henry Breit Katz, 1918-2002 Henry B. Katz was a printer and inventor of packaging products. He began his printing career during high school, publishing programs for East Orange (NJ) high school. His first large scale publishing venture was as a Navy Ensign during WWII when he printed maps, and in his spare time, made his mark publishing the humorous story of a newly enlisted Wave (female service person), called Up Came A Ripple. After the war he began various packaging ventures and his lifelong hobby of coin collecting. When he was 70, at a time most people retire, he started another business, based on his love of coins. He began to devote his time to making a coinholder that would preserve his coins from oxidation. He invented a self seal coinholder and the response was tremendous. The Fifty State Commemorative Quarter Album was written in response to the requests from hundreds of customers for a way to organize their collections. Of all the objects Henry B. Katz wrote about, sold, invented or refined, he was proudest of this one because it reflects a uniquely American experience, the story of each state of the Union, distilled into a commemorative quarter coin.
