Following her husband's death, Ruth Spector Webster, M.S.W., obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. She became a psychotherapist at a major H.M.O, where she conducted widowed groups as well as counseling individuals & families. Her daughter, Laurie J. Spector, M.S.W. obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work at the University of California at Los Angeles. As a psycotherapist she has worked in medical and psychiatric settings. She also developed and led bereavement groups for many years.
