How may times have you said this: "If I could go back in time with what I know now, I could be a millionaire." Or how about this: "I just wish I could go back in time and straighten out the stupid things I did when I was young." Or better yet: "I wish I could go back in time and tell her/him how much I really loved them."
In this exciting new novel, Rex Kohl gets his chance to do all these things and more. An old friend has found a way to go back in time, and needs Rex to make it all come together. What happens next is that Rex finds himself back in 1982 with a chance to change a few things even though his is warned not to.
This novel takes you back to look at the past, make some corrections, and shows you the end result. In between, we see a man who is already successful, happily married, and on his way to retirement, that just wants to make a few minor adjustments that could help friends and family be a little better off. What we find out is that even a small adjustment to our past can have major consequences to our future that may not always be in our best interest.

Ralph Towner is principal owner and President of a precision manufacturing company, Care Bilt, Inc.
He writes articles and short stories, and is currently the writer for a monthly newsletter.
"What Could Have Been" is his first novel. Ralph loves to write, and will author more novel in coming months and yearsReview:
If you are an animal lover, you will fall in love with Rex and his companion "Luckydawg". The adventures these two friends travel will keep you on the edge of your seat. You will laugh, sometimes cry, but will cheer them on as they travel back and forth through time. It proves again that a dog is mans best friend. -- CNC Publishing, Inc.
Towner's compelling tale reminded me of poet Robert Frost's concluding lines in his poem "The Road Not Taken": "I shall be telling this with a sigh, Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and--I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference." In a plot full of as many turns and twists as a road race, "What Could Have Been" cleverly explores exactly that. Once on this fast pace trip, there is no turning back. Just a rush to the surprising conclusion! This book will make a difference. -- Carole Law Trachy, Ph. D. Professor of Humanities
When I first started reading this novel, I wanted to go back in time with Rex and make a few changes for myself. Now I'm not so sure. You will want to go along for the ride and see if you want to make some changes after you finish reading this novel. I'm not sure what you will dicide. -- Jon F. Ballard, Educator and Author of "1-4-3 Means I Love You"
