About the Author

Dawn Ewing began her career as a dental hygienist in 1977, after graduating from The University of Texas Dental School. She was appointed to the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners by the Governor of Texas and served two terms. A thirst for knowledge about the human body immersed her into the world of emergency medicine. Becoming a Nationally Registered Paramedic, she spent 12 years on a 911 ambulance and 4 years in international air ambulance transport. She began teaching CPR to the public, Advanced Cardiac Life Support to health care provicers and became an Affiliate Faculty of the AHA in 1987. She was drawn back into dentistry by a Biological Dentist. He was looking for someone with knowledge of the body as a whole, not just the mouth. This new excitement lead her to return to school for a Doctorate in Naturopathy and on to earn a PH.D in Holistic Nutrition. Dr. Ewing teaches "The Tooth Body Connection" to Dentists, MD's. Chiropractors, Osteopaths and to the lay public. She also teaches Electro-Dermal Screening, as it applies to Biological Dentistry. Dr. Ewing has a private Holistic Medical/Dental practice in Houston, TX.
