For more than twenty-five years, Mr. Sadka was the founder and CEO of one of the most successful employment services company in the United States, with 2,500 employees and $38 million in billings. His intuitive people skills and unique motivational tools helped thousands of employees identify enriching career opportunities.

In 1994, he sold his business and spent the next seven years developing the Dewey Color System, which he based on the results of a scientific research study consisting of more than 5,000 interviews with people from all walks of life. STEP #1: CLARIFY YOUR PURPOSE

Decide the best look for your occasion or mood. Be certain at the start, or you will quickly become disoriented in the highly subjective arena of color.

Before you spend your time and money, exactly how do you want to feel in that outfit or room?

STEP #2: EVALUATE YOUR RESOURCES

Be mostly concerned, at this stage, with how each element fits you or your overall scheme, not with its color. Because The Dewey Color System draws on the very forgiving or enhancing power of color tones, you will have the freedom to transform "not quite right" garments and décor into a rousing success.

Decide what you are going to keep and what you want to discard.

STEP #3: MATCH YOUR EXISTING COLORS

Compare your fabric, sofa, chair, table, counter tops, cabinets, or current paint color with the 120 colors in the system.

Make your selection from the far right column that remains in each of the 13 basic shade sections.

Usually you will find an exact match. If a color falls between two shades, try matching it with both of the colors in The Dewey Color Coordinator . One is sure to work. In-between shades may be a little darker or lighter but will still blend with a color of the same hue.
