For more than twenty-five years, Mr. Sadka was the founder and CEO of one of the most successful employment services company in the United States, with 2,500 employees and $38 million in billings. His intuitive people skills and unique motivational tools helped thousands of employees identify enriching career opportunities.
In 1994, he sold his business and spent the next seven years developing the Dewey Color System, which he based on the results of a scientific research study consisting of more than 5,000 interviews with people from all walks of life. The link between human motivation, emotions and color became a simple key to better understanding individual desires, concerns, passions and different perspectives.
The Dewey Color System is the first to recognize the connection between personality and the four distinct color categories: primary, secondary, achromatic and intermediate colors. It incorporates employee evaluation systems, once only available to the professional community and makes it easy, fast fun and accessible to everyone.
Mr. Sadka grew up in Meridian, Mississippi and is now based out of Atlanta, where in 1992, he was included in the Who’s Who by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. He has been featured in Time magazine, The Wall Street Journal, on NBC Nightly News. His company was a recipient of Inc. Magazine's list of America's fastest growing private companies and was a recipient of the Atlanta Advertising Club’s Abby Award and nominated for the Best TV Commercial.
Embrace Hue You Are!
When it comes to color, nature knows best. Just picture the deep, calming greens of a cool forest setting, the vibrant, fiery hues of a tropical sunset, or the soft, subtle palette of a desert scene. While each image calls out to the visual imagination, it also evokes a particular mood. This is the silent power of color.
Fusing practicality and passion, The Dewey Color Coordinator can skillfully guide your personal empowerment journey. Rely on it as a tool for self-exploration and creative expression. With the anxiety and expense of guesswork gone, you'll quickly discover your colorful personality.
Let s Get Started
The task of sifting through endless shades to find the right color combinations has already been done for you. Your job now is just to relax and have fun with color! These few preliminary steps will ensure that each color experience is rewarding.
STEP #1: CLARIFY YOUR PURPOSE
Decide the best look for your occasion or mood. Be certain at the start, or you will quickly become disoriented in the highly subjective arena of color.
Before you spend your time and money, exactly how do you want to feel in that outfit or room?
STEP #2: EVALUATE YOUR RESOURCES
Be mostly concerned, at this stage, with how each element fits you or your overall scheme, not with its color. Because The Dewey Color System draws on the very forgiving or enhancing power of color tones, you will have the freedom to transform "not quite right" garments and décor into a rousing success.
Decide what you are going to keep and what you want to discard.
STEP #3: MATCH YOUR EXISTING COLORS
Compare your fabric, sofa, chair, table, counter tops, cabinets, or current paint color with the 120 colors in the system.
Make your selection from the far right column that remains in each of the 13 basic shade sections.
Usually you will find an exact match. If a color falls between two shades, try matching it with both of the colors in The Dewey Color Coordinator . One is sure to work. In-between shades may be a little darker or lighter but will still blend with a color of the same hue.
STEP #4: EXAMINE THE LIGHTING
Lighting can play tricks with color, so be especially careful inside stores. The yellow lighting of malls, for example, makes emerald green, in the black row, look more like olive, in the brown row. If sunlight is available, take your potential purchase to the window for a color inspection. Don t forget to use your bonus colors.
Lay the bonus color strip next to your new pants or existing chair to ensure an exact color match.
STEP #5: SELECT YOUR COLORS
Select the colors or combinations that you most prefer, or be courageous and combine your favorite selection with your least favorite color selection.
Browse The Dewey Color Coordinator to identify colors that carry an emotional charge for you.
As you flip through the pages, try to set your biases aside so that the colors can pick you. When you give your intuition free reign, you ll find that the color vibrations in the next step come as no surprise.
STEP #6: READ THE COLOR VIBRATIONS
Like a trusted friend, The Dewey Color Coordinator also offers you valuable personal insight from The Dewey Color System . As you refer to the vibrations linked with your color selections, you ll begin to give a voice to your color intuition.
The language associated with your choices will help fine-tune your color selection.
