The author, David M Nieves, is a professional herpetologist and took the 95 full color photographs himself. Some of the reptiles included are Komodo Dragons, Chameleons, Cobras, Tree Skinks, Alligators, Tuataras, and Anacondas. This title is the follow up to "Reptiles Up Close".

About the Author
David M. Nieves has been fascinated by reptiles and amphibians since he was 8 years old. In 1990 he founded Reptile Education and Research, a private facility dedicated to the study of the creatures. Now his full time career is devoted to learning more about them, and teaching others. His first book "Reptiles Up Close" was published in December 1999.
