An 8 1/2" X 11" dust-jacketed, coffee-table book of light-verse poetry (poetry that amuses) written for people who fancy their poetry the old-fashioned way--that is, with rhythm and rhyme in understandable language--and printed in Black Chancery font. The verse is principally humorous with a few reflective poems included for balance. Each poem has an illustrated prologue on the facing page. The contents include 57 poems, a preface, and pertinent introductory material. The jacket flaps contain information about the book and the author. The price of $9.95 is $4.50 less than its cost of manufacture, but the book was written not for commercial gain but, rather, because I like to write this stuff and hear--or at least, imagine--the applause.
