About the Author:
Linda Hackler is the quintessential middle aged female. She, and husband Bill, raised their two children in the small rural community of Bogue, Kansas. As a forty-three year old grandmother, she decided to join her husband as co-driver of an eighteen wheeler. Trucking was not the life for her and two years later she climbed out of the big rig for good. (Much to Bill's relief!) Hackler's life is like millions of others. She works two part time jobs, as well as writing a weekly newspaper column. The glamor of fame and fortune has never found its way to the Hackler household. But, love and laughter are always on hand. Who could ask for more?

Linda Hackler has a unique way of bringing out the lighter side of most any situation. In fact many of those described in Clueless in Kansas the Book are first-hand experiences.
Linda has been writing for the Colby Free Press, a daily recorder of people and events of northwest Kansas, for several years. She was a favorite from day one. Her following has grown consistently and her column is often mentioned as the best read in the newspaper. One never knows what she has up her sleeve each week, but readers have come to expect the best in hometown humor and they are never disappointed.
