Synopsis
With humorous illustrations by Will O'Donnell, "Mom...you're not NAKED, are you?" is a collection of some of Ms. Abear's funniest columns. From Oprah to Beanie Babies, from parenting to the Chicago Bulls, from men to toddlers, she pokes gentle fun at the things that make life a "bear", and the laughter that results is what makes life "bear-able". Her writing style is influenced by, she says, "Erma Bombeck, Dave Barry and Mike Royko. In other words, I'm a little bit country and a little bit rock 'n roll". The result is pure Donna.

About the Author
Donna Abear has been entertaining the readers of Lakeland's 11 newspapers in Illinois since April of 1994 with her weekly humor column "Life's A Bear". Her efforts have garnered her 4 consecutive Illinois Press Association awards, as well as a NINA award in 1999 for excellence in column writing. Donna is a voice that readers can relate to, as a working wife and mother of four with a down-to-earth, self-deprecating style. She is also the author of a published children's play, "Sprucey the Blue Christmas Tree" (published by I. E. Clark Publications).
